How a Powerflow conversion works.

Every build starts at the basics. We need to know your boat, engine room, battery capacity potential, and where you’re taking it. Once we understand all of that, we can build a system that actually fits your life onboard.

2027 Build Season

You apply.

Two men in a workshop, one showing the other a black electric propulsion system component, with a banner above that reads 'Powerflow Marine, Electric Propulsion Systems, Made in U.S.A.' and images of marine electric propulsion products.

Fill out the application with your boat details and sailing plans. We read every one before we respond. We are looking for boats and owners that are a good fit for what we build, and we will tell you honestly if yours is not.

Step 1

We talk through your boat.

One call, usually an hour. We go over shaft configuration, engine room layout, battery bank, charging sources, and your typical passages. By the end we have a clear picture of what your system needs to look like and whether we are the right people to build it.

Step 2

A man inside a small wooden room holding a boat engine and a hoist. The background shows a bed with unmade blankets and some pillows.

We confirm the build and you lock in your slot.

A deposit holds your production slot. Builds start in October. We will give you an honest timeline at this stage, not a number we have to walk back later.

Step 4

We build it.

Your system is assembled, wired, and bench tested before it leaves the shop. Every controller parameter is set to your specific motor and vessel. Nothing ships with default settings.

Step 3

Step 5

Complete sea trials

Systems ship with full documentation and a commissioning call. For the right projects, Jack comes to the boat. If you want a complete on-site refit including DC distribution, charging, and the full electrical system, that is a conversation worth having in your application.

We take on four to six conversions per season, October through January. Every build starts with a conversation about your boat and how you use it. That first call goes both ways. We are making sure the system is right for your vessel, and you are making sure we are the right people for the job.

System Design Consult

We offer a free one-hour video consultation to go over the specifics of your vessel and potential system before purchase.

Wiring Diagram

We create a custom wire diagram showing components location and wiring specifics. Estimated run lengths will produce gauge requirements. The propulsion system, and charging system. Not complete vessel electrical.

Custom Motor System

If you have a specific project that we don’t sell we can build it for you.
